I talk too much my mouth hurts

Brunch today was Tartiflette I didn't get to have in France because I couldn't find them in the Christmas markets in Paris on time,
and, of course, Paella, that yummy Spanish seafood rice, because it's just so nice.

Bought ourselves macarons and a baguette to take home/eat on the way. Can you see the stick bread poking out of my bag at the end?
Auckland is windy and grey at the moment. Hope the weather improves soon!

I was missing Paris so much, I went to have crêpe and cidre doux for dinner after moving in on Wednesday. Le Torchon is a crêperie in the Elliot Stables, Auckland, where there are many nice, mostly European, restaurants, such as an Italian place, Spanish tapas, Scottish whiskey, German sausages...

Free wi-fi, real French servers (the French guys working here are often très mignons, lol), nice atmosphere... The only downside of having French food outside of France would be that you don't get the complimentary baguette basket, haha.

Le Torchon also has raclette nights every Thursday, but you have to book in advance.

Seriously, this is my favourite French restaurant in Auckland. If you have been in Auckland long enough, and I have been your friend long enough, then I would almost certainly have introduced you to this place, whether for your first snail experience, that sweet crêpe, or the crême brulée, to crack the top, à l'Amélie Poulain.

I'm so taking my cousin here next week, who's coming to visit tomorrow :)

I love frozen yoghurt. Mix it up with any flavours that take your fancy, pay by the weight. Yum!

Really need to get into making healthy things to eat in the kitchen. It's not been the easiest cooking wise hopping from place to place, but I'm sure it will improve when I settle down into my own place. 1 more night to go! :)

Living in Grafton for the week allows me to walk through the vast green Auckland Domains to and from uni. How lucky am I? On the sporting grounds there are always something going on, whether it be hot daddy's league of rugby or cricket, or just a bunch of young people lying down and enjoying the sun.

Kept getting woken up from texts from tipsy friends. 1am. 3am. 5am. Thanks for your loves, guys, lol!
After a 10 hour shift at work I went home with only one thing on my mind. Fish n' Chips with beer. Ate while watching Lars and the Real Girl starring Ryan Gosling. Isn't everybody head over heels for him?! haha. Finally finished my essay, with the help of D - thank you so much! Can't wait to hand it in tomorrow. Can't wait to move into my own place on Wednesday. Can't wait, can't wait!! :)

 No affogatos here, but it's a cosy little place near Britomart in Downtown Auckland. The ladies working here are nice, though I wonder where the guys went to. Perhaps it wasn't their working day that day.

Sat 9h-12h

K, M and I went to have brunch here after a Saturday night of dancing with a group of friends in town. It had been almost a year since I had gone out dancing and it was so much fun. I could have gone on all night, haha. But we are not the young crazy students that we used to be any more..

I chose to have breakfast burrito, healthy tofu option. K had the chorizo option, and M the Spanish eggs. I could only have half. Saved the other for dinner.

The apartment I am staying in for the week is amazing. I feel so grown up having the whole place to myself! The only thing is that the Internet connection's cut, so no more endless hours looking at blogs and Facebook for a while... Also there's no microwave, no mirror, and it's bloody hard trying to get the front door to open with the key. But that's no biggie, really. I think it just means that it's time to finally get a move on to write that essay that's due on Monday! Okay, fine!

The weather in Auckland is finally summery, yes yes yes. Thank you :)

I'm moving again tonight! From CBD to Mount Eden, and now to Grafton. Then, after a week, back to CBD, again!

My sis and I are going to be living in the awesomest apartment ever!! So excited! Will post up pictures when everything's settled down :)

Another old favourite that disappointed. C and I get our kid's sized Indian meals here from time to time, often Sundays. I wanted chicken tikka massala, but, when did it turn so spicy?! It was considerably more spicy than I'd remembered. Mango lassi was just as nice as always, though, fortunately. Will get butter chicken next time. Probably not here, though. Maybe at uni. Hmm.. getting hungry..

I got a macchiato, to wake me up from the afternoon drowsiness.

It's a nice place with a couch in the far side (where A and I were sitting). The apartment building next door is awesome as well. If I had gotten the loft apartment, this would surely have been a regular trip. Still looking for the perfect place for the year...

I must exercise my creativity more. Just start already.

Went for a short swim. Walked into town. I registered myself at the Cathedral. Finally. It took me five years.  I went to a really cool café near downtown and had a quick lunch and a read. Before going to an apartment to wait for a viewing that never happened. Argh.

After a two hour lecture, back at the apartment. The agent still doesn't turn up. She wants to show me the place next week. What. Annoyed and tired from all the walking I had done all day, I went grocery shopping and went home. My legs.

This was dinner. Spinach greens, tomato, blueberries, basil feta cheese.

This was waiting for me by the sink. Oh, poor thing. Ew.

Thank goodness it's the weekend. I restart work tomorrow. Yay, money. Then a night out awaits me :)
