Napier: Weekend trip
Thursday, July 03, 2014
Napier is part of one of the wine countries in New Zealand. There are many vineyards to choose from, via bikes or cars.
Beautiful, serene, quiet.
Deliciously arranged foods.
Mouth watering, and made even more tasteful with the mariage between food and wine match.
Napier is also a unique city famous for its Art Deco styled buildings. After a violent, unexpected earthquake devastated the city in 1931, Napier crumbled down.
The building on the right, is one of the very few that had survived the shake.
Now it is a tourist attraction, especially during the Art Deco Week in the late summer. I hope Christchurch will also rise from its rumble crumbles soon, and invite more people and tourists into it.
